How to Assemble the Frabjous

The Frabjous consists of 30 identical S-shaped pieces. Each S-piece has an interlocking slot and tab on each end. Three S-pieces are joined at each corner by sliding the tabs into the adjacent slot. The parts are shaped to snap together without the need for glue or tape. Make sure that the S-pieces are oriented the same way as pictured (everything will be mirrored if the parts are oriented in the opposite direction).

Continue adding two additional S-pieces to each free leg of the assembly to complete a new corner. Each piece should automatically orient itself in the correct direction as each piece is assembled. There is no specific order of assembly that needs to be followed. After several corners are completed, there will be a point where two adjacent free legs can be joined to each other with one additional new S-piece to complete the corner. As the Frabjous puzzle gets more crowded, some pieces may require twisting the piece to maneuver it into position.

As more pieces are added, a five-pointed star should start to form on each face of the dodecahedron outer shape. Take note of how the pieces tuck between each other in the reference photos and join opposing corners. If there is interference between parts, there may be a piece that is positioned or layered incorrectly. Once complete, there should be no contact between adjacent parts other than at each corner joint.
